God, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO Me? Sometimes God will allow things to happen in your life that you don’t understand. And even though you don’t know why it is happening, He knows why it is happening. He may allow you to go through situations that are not easy to handle or that you thought you would never face in your life, but in the end you find that it was to help you grow up in a particular area in your life and to prepare you for what is to come. Always remember God can’t take you to the next level until He first knows you can handle the level that you are already on. As the scripture says, He guides you, advises you and He watches over you. It’s all in the plan He has for you. “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eyes.”(Psalms 32:8, KJV) Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31) Most if not all of us don’t realize how unique and valuable we are…the reason we are so vulnerable to the fear of rejection is because we’re full of self-doubt. That’s why when criticized by another person; deep down inside we have the doubt.
In the movie “The Color Purple” there were a scene when Shug Avery was singing and walking down with her band singing the blues then suddenly she had heard a Church Choir start to sing Maybe God is Trying To Tell You Something. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11, KJV)That song had start to touch Shug Avery in her spirit and she start to singing the song as well walking the miles always down to her father Church and she had gave her soul back to Christ. God is trying to tell you something. What is he saying to you? Are you listening to him? God is always trying to get our attention. God is putting a calling in our life and we must follow our call. We can try to ignore his calling but He will get you one way or another. You can’t run from him.
We need to ask the Lord to speak to us. When we pray to God we want the Lord to speak to us. We want him to hear our mind. With God word he can heal our soul. He can help us to see when we are blind. When we are lost, God can help us find our way and that is why we need the Lord to speak to us daily and we need to speak to him as well. When you can’t sleep at night and you wonder why you can’t sleep. Then maybe God is trying to tell you something. You had been crying all night long when something had gone wrong then maybe God is trying to tell you something. With the Lord, He’s got to tell you something because God is trying to tell you something right now. We must listen to him when He’s trying to tell us something. He is trying to help you out and want to do great things in your life but we must listen to his will.
God has a purpose for each of you. God is birthing something great in your life. It is the early signs of faith. It is the thirst for more knowledge of God or the Bible. It might be the steps of obedience in following God’s teaching or being an example of Jesus. God may want to help you with exploring of how to use gifts and be passion in service. He wants you to keep in mind that every Christian is a minister and every Christian is a missionary. God may want to birth a new faith filled outlook on work, school, family and the community in whole. Many of us are stuck in fear over what God may say or want with us that we miss the joy of hearing what it may be. It just like when we are in school and the teacher ask you a question but you avoid of being call upon. Please do understand when the teacher call upon you there is a healthy perspective that he/she is not trying to embarrass you but have the desire to teach you and engage with you. That is the only way that we can learn. Even if we get the wrong answer we will learn from picking the wrong answer. That engaging in the learning process is a good thing both for you and your teacher. That also goes with God as well. I believe that it is intimidating and even cause for fear to think that you are on God’s radar. That God may be trying to get your attention and even tell you something. By reading his word that it will be helpful to reduce your fear to proclaim that God is doing so out of love and purpose, and that part of God’s message is “Don’t Be Afraid.” “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, KJV) In your life what might God desire to birth in your life, for his glory? It doesn’t have to be big, but may be a small step of faithfulness or obedience on your part. It may be a change of behavior or a reaching out to another or an act of grace and kindness. It may be a renewed commitment to husband or wife, or to participate in a community of faith. God is trying to get your attention. He also is trying to say something to you.
