About This Book:

One night takes them back to the very beginning:
When Jabir Danjuma met Damisi Odinga years ago, it wasn’t necessarily love at first sight. However, their attraction can’t be denied. Just as he begins to feel the forbidden emotion, Damisi breaks up with him and moves half way across the world.
Now, Damisi has a request that only Jabir could fulfill. Their encounter sets off a series of events that leave them both with fresh pain and hurt. They vow never to see each other again, but fate has a different idea. Will they stick it out long enough for the Potter to perfect their scars and pain for His purpose or will distance and time steal the day.

Anchored By Love Book Review:

In a flash Unoma Nwankwor christen us into the Damisi and Jabir’s problematic affair of the heart. However, as we wandering along with the couple, we discover that the problematic we face in life doesn’t branch from life itself, but from the choices we make without Christ as our guiding spirit or when we try to pretend to follow Christ. This a passion filled, theological sound, real life romance will remind you about God’s grace, His ability rejuvenate, and have you craving for more. Drama fulfilled, pain filled, humor filled, and God filled. This is the second book I have read by this author. These books written and characters well developed are sweetly passionate, interesting and sound conforming. Unoma Nwankwor really created a marvelous narrative of love and restoration! The narration is absolutely well written I picture myself being shifted to Nigeria and Kenya as I became engaged in Jabir and Damisi’s story. As the story proceed, I truly found myself hopeful and flourish when Jabir realized that Damisi’s love anchors him and there no greater love than the love of Christ. Even when they have worked a nerve to the point where you want to stop reading, you can’t. You’re too engrossed with finding out what happens. She did an excellent job of portraying characters with real life problems and real life consequences. Life in the Danjuma brothers world is not all peaches and cream as one would think. Jabir’s story addresses how we let our stubbornness, arrogance and self righteousness get in the way. How often do we miss opportunities to show someone the God in us because we’re too busy being judgmental? How often do we show others grace and mercy as God shows us? How often do we take credit for what we have and where we are in life and forget that if it were not for God’s grace and mercy we would be nothing, have nothing? Anchored by Love is the perfect love story that addresses those very questions. As I was reading this narrative, even though this is a Christian fiction but the Characters were so authentic. They were straightforward, out of order, exposed, set in one’s ways. Most importantly by the Grace of God, they were saved and restored. Unoma did an awesome job in created the images of Kenya and Nigeria as the surrounding place for the romantic settings. The messages of the Word of God was crystal clear; the purpose of God’s mercy and Grace.  With God’s grace and mercy really brought us through. If it wasn’t for His Love then what would we do? His blood redeemed us and created us brand new. It was that grace and mercy brought us through. That’s what God’s grace and mercy is all about.God keeps on blessing us over and over again, even though we don’t deserve all the things we have done. He also cleansed and made us whole. Unoma is an awesome storyteller, God-given gifted who was able to brings the tree of life to the Motherlands. I have to admit I should have read the first book “A Scoop Of Love” so I would have gotten a better understanding of the Characters but that’s alright because i am reading that book next. I am looking forward to it. If you looking for a great Christian fiction book then please read the first two books in this series “Sons of Ishmael.”
