I Built It But They Ain’t Coming.” The Marketing Mogul’s Manual on How to Pursue Date, And Engage Your Customer Book Review:
The purpose for Derrick Guests to write this book to teach Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, and for those who are inspired to starts their own business. I also believes that this book was created for Authors, Publishers and those who wants to published their first book or starts their own publishing company. His goal to make sure that individuals who are reading this book understands the importance of one’s marketing. He also wanted to be a helping hand through writing format to guide business and potential business owners with step-by -step technique extremely, that they aren’t overwhelmed the indicated necessary process. I love the way how Derrick compare relationships with dating and business. In my book “The Real Purpose of Networking”, I mentioned that a lot of individuals don’t know how to build relationship during networking events and after it is over. The most common mistakes that individuals make is not doing their follow up with their potential connections. When you ask someone to go out on a date, you don’t jump straight into marriages. The purpose of dating is for you both to get to know each others, to see if you both have something in common or not. That also goes with the professional side, that you do your follow up so you both can get to know each other, to see how we can work together and help each other out. Also to see what we both can offer each other. Networking is all about working as a team. I love the way how Derrick use the dating metaphor for us to understands about marketing. Just like dating marketing is the emotional connection that will leaves an impact. Personally, I knew both Derrick and his lovely wife Eula about 6 years and not only they are humble but they also give back to their community. Every Events that they have, their events are always standing room only and I see why that is. The reasons for that they believe in helping others with knowledge and wisdom from their own experiences on how they started Griot’s Roll Films Productions & Services. Everyday on Facebook they will share information and wisdom to their networks. Because of them, I am motivated from them both to share resources with my fellow Authors and support them by purchasing, reading and write a review about their books. I recommend this book to anyone that are looking to open their own Business or improve their knowledge about marketing for their business. I also recommend my fellow Authors to read “I Built it But They Ain’t Coming” so you will have a better understanding of marketing, branding and most importantly working together with your fellow Authors.
“I Built It But They Ain’t Coming” covers so much topics of what an entrepreneur needs to know to get a business up, running, and profitable. It does this without the use of puzzling wording. The approach from this Author is very empathetic using dating which everyone has done at some point in time to express to us that you actually already know this information. Many of us just never applied it in this direction before. Furthermore before you realize it you’re mentally creating all of the right connections which in the dating arena would advance to hands of marriage but in the business arena advance to a successful business. This is definitely a how-to example to marketing for small businesses and entrepreneurs. It illustrates comparisons between dating and the relationship between businesses and their customers. As a small business owner himself, Mr. Derrick Guest provided wisdom and understanding with a congregation of his peers in the direction that they can apprehend and relate to. There isn’t any assumption, just a matter-of-fact advice about how small businesses can plan and execute sufficient marketing movement. “I Built It But They Ain’t Coming: The Marketing Mogul’s Manual On How to Pursue, Date, and Engage Your Customer”focused on the importance of branding, understanding your customer, email marketing, social media marketing, mobile apps and how to measure the success of your marketing efforts.one and only thing that mold this book exclusive are the ultramodern examples used to interpret foundation with quotes and anecdotes from people such as Jay Z, Chris Rock, George Foreman, George C. Fraser and many others. The provocation with any manual on digital marketing is that some material will always be outdated by the time it is published. There is no simple way any which way to this problem so marketers should use other sources to stay current. If you want to get knowledge about how to do resourceful marketing on a limited budget, read this book. A matter-of-fact inspiration to marketing for the small business owner. Thank You Derrick and Eula Guests for being a great role models for people like me to continue to Press Toward The Mark to achieve the goals toward the road of success.
