Dear Mama Book Reviews

Jacqueline Moore created a short narrative about a teenager girl who is being bully because she and her mother are homeless. “Dear Mama” is one of those books will not get a happy ending. God spoke to Jacqueline to minister to the reader by writing a short narrative about the affect of bullying can do to a person and their family. Briana was being teased on and got jump by some bad teenager girls. The worst part not only being physically beaten but verbally beaten as well by these bullies. They told Briana to kill herself because nobody don’t like her or care about her. Briana really felt that was true. She didn’t wanted to reported because she felt that the bullying wasn’t going stop and fear of the consequences for telling on them. He mother Beverly tried her best to found shelter until they get back on their feet but Briana felt that God letting her mother lose her job and home. Briana was in so much emotional pain that she felt that her life isn’t worth to live for. Briana left her mother a letter and explain to her mother why she kill herself.

Only if Briana reached out to an Adult at her high school things could have turn different. I can relate myself because I was being judged by my so called friends for not having my own place and not having a job. I tried my best to get a job but at the time I couldn’t find work even though I did went on many interview. They constantly judge me until finally I went through a major depression disorder and anxiety. The worst part is they were judging me and wasn’t offer to help me. Finally I wanted to take my own life but God steps in and directed me to the hospital to received help with a licensed professional deals with Mental Health. Even when i decide to get help, there were many told me that I don’t have faith in God at all. Christians or saved person shouldn’t be depressed. I told them, who told you that lie. You can pray all you want to God but if you don’t seek medical help then your prayer and faith without work (action) is dead. God wants us to take care of our temple and our mind to do his ministry. Thank God, I didn’t take my life because I would have miss out on life and opportunity. God wants us to live and enjoy life. Also I got rid off all my so called friends and it felt like I took out the trash. Thank You Jacqueline Moore for writing this tough subject to minister to the readers about the aftermath of the acts of bullying. I believe that God allow you to guide the pen to share a story that is very painful to encourage somebody to reach out to somebody for help and not to keep it inside. To the people who like to bully or judge somebody, please realizes that your actions will do so much damage to that person. You should never judge or make fun of somebody because of their shortcoming. With the rise of people being homeless, you don’t know their story. If you don’t have any intention to help then keep your mouth shut. Also we need to stand up to bullying and not to allow it at all. This book is recommend for everyone to read so you will know the affects of being bully. If you or somebody that you know are being bully please speaks up. Somebody will help you if you reach out to them.

Saving Grace: A Christian African American Marriage Romance Book Review:

“Saving Grace” make the scene in a small town surroundings where the heroine of the story had returned home after losing her father in a violent manner. She came from very humble beginnings only to end up being cared for by her affectionate aunt and uncle who treated Grace like their own daughter. In her voyage to put a resemblance of balance back into her life, she was introduced to the christian lifestyles by her aunt and uncle where they attend Church at. The Pastor of the Church became fascinated with her. This was an unquestionable marvelous story and I was overjoyed to see that although enticed to become intimate, the Pastor kept his passion under control until they became newlywed. The characters in the town were sure-enough  thought-provoking and all had deep-rooted a close-knit that carried them through the passing of one of their congregants, and made the love all shared that much greater. I would highly recommend this book especially for some of the religious bent who may not like the steamier kinds of romance novels

Shannon Gardener really let God direct the pen in her anointed hand to create a well written narrative. I loved the patience that the character of Peter demonstrate when the Character of Grace, because of her past was so hesitant and at times defensively mean. But he press on. Grace is a young woman who came from the harsh side of the tracks. Peter is a trustworthy deacon at her uncle and aunt’s church who has a past of his own. When the two meet, sparks spontaneously fly between them – but not without conflict. And ironically as with all relationships, Grace had to display that same patience with Peter. Peter and Grace’s relationship emphasize the readers of what can happen for two people who are committed to one another and want to succeed to make it right. I loved the fact that “Saving Grace” is a Christian romance that dealing of the issues with people’s insecurities and even if Christian romances isn’t your favorite genre, but I believe you will still enjoy the story. Relationship controversy were addressed reasonable and timely. It was great to see a Christian Romance where the love making was not done until after marriage. But don’t let that fool you because there is still plenty of romance before and after the marriage. This was just a marvelous Christian book about love. The narrative is kinda short and doesn’t take long to read but it is well worthy of the time spent reading it. I felt really good and satisfied at the end. This is the second book that I read by Shannon Gardner. The last book I read by this Author was “Second Chances:A Billionaire Christian Romance” and I continue to adore her writing styles.  Well done. I would definitely read another book by this author. One thing to note: It is a book written for an adult audience, as some scenes contain sexual imagery, as stated in the description. Tremendous Read!!!

Second Chances: A Billionaire Christian Romance For Adults Book Review:

This is an outstanding narrative about the power of love and faith. I really adored this story about finding that true love. It was a versatile narrative with a magnificent message. Donna and Marcus are wonderful characters that was developed by this gifted Author, they both have fabulous mothers and are happy with their lives. Donna had been treated badly in a previous relationship and did not want to get involved again. Marcus who thinks she’s the most beautiful person in the world. When they first met they have an imperative chemistry that Donna tries her best to fight her feelings for Marcus, but they end up dating anyway. As I was reading this narrative. I found that the characters of Marcus and Donna are absolutely perfect for each other and their synergy was great. I love the story and the characters it held my interest from the first page to the last page. It was such a honor in reading a great book with Christian values, Donna made the right decisions to make Christ head of her life and truly staying a virgin until after marriage.

The title and the cover of this book alone really caught my attention.  The characters were very real and convincing. Occasionally we need to step back and allow God to take over. We all may go through a heartbreak or grief over the loss of the love of our life, but that does not escape the fact that life has a way of giving us another chance. Sometimes that second chance we received is really the first one. The hypothetical first one was just a smoke screen. God puts people in our path. They either bring us up or bring us down. Whatever they decide to do, it should be a lesson for us to learn. For Donna, God put Marcus toward her path as a positive lesson for her to learn so she won’t let a negative lessons that she experienced sidetrack from the positive ones. It is time for us to explore our feelings and let God direct our paths. This is definitely a marvelous story of finding true love and second chances of love. I always enjoy a good romance story with a theme of Christian values and this one did not dissatisfy for me. The summary in the messages of “Second Chances” that Shannon Gardener wants the readers to know that  God beyond doubt really has a plan  and it worked out without a doubt for Marcus and Donna. They experience a lot of trials and tribulations but in the end it was truly worth it to both of them. A truly lovely story about second chances.

About This Book:

This Book contains some words that have strong content. Not your average Christian Fiction Book!!!! How do you help someone that pushes you away every time you try to help? That is a question that DeWayne Darius Day asks all the time, as he places his life and career on the line. And on the other side of the spectrum, how do you let a man help you when God seems not to even care? This is a question that Sabrina Malia Knight asks all the time.
DeWayne is a young man with a bright future, and a dark past. He was raised by a single mother who struggled to make ends meet. He loves God and lives his life in direct accordance to the Will of God and whatever He needs him to do. Gang affiliation, jail time, and murder threatened the future of this young man’s life. Through these trials DeWayne drew closer to God, causing him to confess Jesus as his Savior. By the Grace of God things start to work themselves out for DeWayne, after his confession to Christ. He is a rising star as the small forward for Kansas State University, preparing for the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Things are looking good for his future, until he is called to help an old friend; which causes him to put it all on the line…all his dreams, all his accomplishments. But his dreams and aspirations pale in comparison to doing the Will of God. His relationship with Sabrina will test his faith, test his love, threaten his relationship, and threaten his career. Sabrina Malia Knight is a troubled teen, with a secret she refuses to let anyone know. She is highly intelligent, yet she cannot figure out how to cast away the weight that has been weighing her down since she was a child. Sabrina has been physically, mentally, and emotionally abused, and she is spiritually broken. Raised in the church, she heard all the good about God. But her trials and lack of deliverance has caused her to build up a certain hatred for Him, and her back is turned to Him and anything to do with Him. She blames God for the things she has endured. Sabrina and DeWayne’s paths crossed in their early high school years in South Bend, Indiana. Sabrina always have liked DeWayne, and secretly prayed that he would deliver her from her torment. DeWayne always found Sabrina intriguing, but something in his spirit has always stopped him from approaching Sabrina in any way beyond anything, other than friends. He has real love for her, but he questions whether she is worth putting everything on the line for, in being obedient to God. Take a trip through this page-turner and see for yourself the most heinous acts that have become all too common within today’s families and in our society. Look through the eyes of different characters personal accounts and feelings, as they deal with some of the most difficult trials that come with being obedient to God’s Will, and at the same time seeing the joy and blessings that come with being obedient.

He Is Able Book Review:

I really enjoyed the reading of “He Is Able” by Patrick Fleming. I have to admit that I was going to stop reading this book because there were a lot of profanity but I decide to continue reading this story. I am so glad that I did continue to read this book. There were a lot of a great life lessons messages with the attachments of scriptures from the Holy Bible. This is a truly an example about how Christians can encounter with wordly issues and still be a Child of God. We as Christians aren’t perfect at all and we should be able to ask for forgiveness. I love the character of DeWayne who tried to be a true friend to Sabrina and being a perfect gentleman. While there were curse words from DeWayne, but he still displays confidence about his christian values and faith in God. This is a representation by him not yielding to the temptation with Patrice. I appreciated the fact that DeWayne establish scriptures to help him to make decisions and the eagerness to experience for what he believed. I really truly believe that DeWayne  love Sabrina unconditionally despite her problems and negative attitude. The wrongdoing that Sabrina suffered from her parents especially from her pervert father is an ongoing problem in many families today. Sabrina’s mother Rasheeda  need to get her butt whip for allowing her husband Keith to rape their daughter. Furthermore, stories like “He Is Able” need to be written as this may minister to a young reader or victim. .I read one of the reviews on the Amazon sites stating the writing is not Christian, but I have to disagree. The title of this book alone speaks so much volumes. God is able to do just what He said He would do. He’s gonna fulfill every promise to us. We can’t give up on God, cause He won’t give up on us. The steadfast of this narrations is to keep it evident while illustrate CHRIST to the lost. There were one scripture in “He Is Able” spokes to me personally, “Come to me all who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” That message illustrates to the reader is that God will gives us rest for our weary souls, but the walk with Christ is not a lazy walk. It is a Spiritual Warfare! Despite the fact the urgency of God’s rest is great, we should do everything we can to secure it. That statement is not to say anyone can work their way to salvation, but that we should do what we can to enter God’s rest by faith. That rest of God is consists of peace, joy, love, contentment, power and strength. If anything that is design by God, Satan will try to destroy it but God Will block it because He is able. “Now all Glory to God who is able through His mighty power at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). This was masterly gracefully and in my respectful point of view, “He Is Able” need to be created into a movie so the story can empower someone to know their worth and reach out to somebody that can help.

About This Book:

In the past year Detective Josephine “Jo” Reed-Powell brought down one of the most notorious serial killers in a decade in Charlotte-Mecklenburg County. When Jo arrives at a new crime scene, something seems very familiar to her. She immediately thinks she may be dealing with a copycat killer. Or is she?

How can she keep her mind on finding a killer when her life is falling apart? Jo is struggling with her shattered marriage knowing her husband, Bryan Powell, has had an affair. As Jo questions the twists and turns of her murder investigations, can she let God mend her broken heart?

Broken Heart Book Review:

Is it possible be able to revive from a shatter heart? We can make a visit to our medical doctor for so many illness and get medicines to help ease the pain; what do we have for a shatter heart. I believe Detective Jo will discover the answer to our question in a way that we all should. Tyora Moody is an anointed gifted author with breath of life, the stories that she created are filled with the purpose about family, Christ, suspense and intrigue. Broken Heart is the first book in the Reed family series and I was appreciative with this debut. Detective Jo and her partner Pete have aside from just crimes to solve, the pair are reflecting about their lives as detectives along with concentrate on catching a serial killer who murderous acts seems recognizable but different. After looking back about their life, one of the two detectives make a surprising choice, which I didn’t see that coming.

This anointed author allows God to guide the pen to provide a marvelous task by moving from professional to personal with both Jo and Pete in a lively manner paced page-turner from the first page to the last. Also the plot about the murder is pleasantly managed in this page turner. “Jo” Reed-Powell was busy working on solving a murder on her watch as a detective and she felt there are problems in her marriage with Bryan. Bryan is very resentful in Jo’s Career because he feels that she is neglecting her family.  Personally, As I was reading this narrative, I felt that Jo didn’t mean to neglecting her family but she and her partner, Pete was trying to catch a killer. Detective Jo Reed started to feel guilty in her conscience but didn’t want to admit it. Bryan and herself had been gradually spiral disconnected for some time. She hasn’t been praying about her marriage like she did in the beginning of the relationship. Life have really move secretly in and without her realizing it. That invitation was left for the enemy to walk right through to steal, destroy and kill her marriage. It’s okay that you want to do a great job in your career. But if you allow yourself to consume all of your time at work and neglect your family then the devil will invite himself in and destroy your marriage. You must put God first in everything that you do so he can protect you from the enemy. Marriage is sacred by God and it won’t stumble if you allow God in.There were a scene with the Character Pastor Jonathan Freeman mentioned about David in his sermon, “David, a man after God’s own heart. David has made mistakes that cost him, But God remained faithful to His Promises.” Just like David, We are going to make mistakes that might cost us, but God will not forsake us because He will always be faithful to us.  This was a great book that was written by Tyora Moody with the anointed touch of the Holy Spirit. I am looking forward to read more books by this Author. Tyora should really considering to make “Broken Heart” into a Block Buster Movie. I recommend anyone that love reading a story with suspense and Christian Romance then this is the book for you.

Hanging On by the Scratch Marks My Nails Left Behind (Raw Faith) Book Review:

This is a marvelous inspirational book for individuals who is struggling with persistent illness. Elizabeth Chalker shares with us about her deeply personal relationship with Christ, and how almighty and breathe new life into that can be. Elizabeth I want to personally tell you that individuals reading your story will be inspired by your courage. You really put the focus on your deeply personal issues out there for everyone else to imagine and I truly believe that is very admirable. The title “RAW FAITH” is absolutely what you are showing to us. I have already shed tears quite a few times because your writing takes me through my own personal connection with God. In the summer of 2014, I suffer from depression and anxiety and I need to be hospitalized about two months and while I was in the hospital, I have my own personal relationship with God. I make sure that I spoken life on a daily basis and also read Scriptures from the Holy Bible. Everyday I have a personal conservation with God. I am still here today because of my faith In God and I put it into actions. Dealing with any illness or burdensome situation can either bring us down or help us to have faith. A tremendous deal about dealing with illness has to do with our attitude.Elizabeth allows God to guide the pen in writing a beautiful and  straightforward book. Also sharing such a profound part of herself with the readers. This book can minister to anyone who feels like they are losing hope, being ignored, feeling abandoned or alone. Please read this book and allow the words to minister to your mind and soul. You will get wise to that courage and love is right at your fingertips. In this book “HANGING ON BY THE SCRATCH MARKS MY NAILS LEFT BEHIND” is not an easy journey to go on.Not because of the size of the book, but because of where you discover yourself going. You make an entrance into the world of Elizabeth L. Chalker, an individual who was full of life and promise. Then suddenly due to an illness and symptoms that can destroy a person. Because of her faith, she has been able to not only find a reason to live but allowed her path to show others how they can go through in spite of the challenges that they might face. Elizabeth’s life is a walking testimony that when you feel like you can’t go on realize that with faith like a mustard seed you can deal with anything—and be a connection of inspiration to others along the way. Without question this book will shows what faith can do for an individual and how we can be a source of strength to others. I am definitely a witness to that. Faith without works is dead, so I make sure that I kept my faith alive by putting it into action. “HANGING ON BY THE SCRATCH MARKS” goes to the heart of what it means to have faith.

Elizabeth Chalker’s Inspiring Book will ministers to the readers to let them know that Joy is Unspeakable! Faith is Unsinkable! Love Is Unstoppable! Anything Is Possible! if you allow yourself to believe and putting that into action. (Joy UnspeakableWe as Christians should realizes that God’s grace is all complete,He supply our every need; While we sit and learn at Jesus’ feet, We are truly free, yes, free indeed. It is joy unspeakable and full of glory. In the Book of 1 Peter , the 1st Chapter and the 8th verse mentioned “Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,” (Faith Unsinkable)  our faith is unsinkable as a result of that fact we place our faith in, not as a result of our faith staying enduring in our own power. In the Book of Matthew the 14th Chapter, the 30th and the 31st Verses mentioned “But when he saw the wind,he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me. Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Love Stoppable) God  will  pursue us with the power and glory that is unrelenting with passion and mercy. His unstoppable love that will never ends. In The Book Of Psalm the145th Chapter and the 8th and the 9th verses mentioned “I know there are times we all feel alone, as though there is nobody on our side as we fight each day, but know that we are never alone, the Father’s love for us is so great He never leaves us, He will be there with you in every battle.” (Anything Is PossibleIf we can see how we imagine our life that we desire to dream now and we definitely know that anything is possible. It’s not who we are, it’s where we are going. We don’t need a magic wand, believe that anything is possible. In the Book of Genesis the 18th Chapter and the 14th verse mentioned “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”  If we allow ourselves to believe that Faith is Unsinkable, Joy Is Unspeakable, Love is Unstoppable and Anything is Possible and put those affirmations into actions then it will definitely happens.
